Coach Dave S and I just attended the CrossFit Nutrition Certification this past weekend hosted by CrossFit Albany and presented by Mathieu “Matt” Lalonde and Bobbi Milsaps.
Also in New York at the same time was Coach Marc L, attended a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Certification at Manhattan College presented by Leo Totten, who has coached Olympic Lifting teams at the Olympics, the Pan Am games, and other major events.
Marc has certainly added to his knowledge base of Olympic lifts, which was already impressive. We will all continue to benefit from his coaching and are fortunate to have him here twice a week at the 5:30 a.m. class.
Dave and I will both be going “Paleo” for the next month and — depending on the results — adopting this as our new nutritional program. To sum up the Paleo diet in as few words as possible, it is: meats, fish, veggies, nuts, some seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar (ouch! on that last one).
