Athletic Background
Sharon has always been a lifelong athlete.  Prior to CrossFit, Sharon was a collegiate soccer and rugby player for Western Connecticut State University.  She was a member of the 2001 women’s soccer who finished 12th in the nation. Sharon also led the WCSU women’s rugby team to an undefeated season and 4th place finish in the Division III Women’s New England Rugby Football Union; earning the Rookie of the Year honors.  After graduating, Sharon filled her training void with running. She went on to complete multiple half marathons and in 2010 finished the ING Hartford Marathon. Which is ironic, because she has always hated running. After conquering the marathon, it was time for a new challenge.  One random CrossFit video later, she found her way into her first CrossFit box in 2011. In 2014, she obtained her L1-Trainer certification, as well as speciality CrossFit certifications in Strongman, Movement and Mobility, and Anatomy & Physiology.

Sharon brings the discipline of a true athlete along with the inspirational ability of a great coach.  Watchful, patient, but always pushing you to do better. Sharon has an innate gift to help people become stronger, both inside and out.  When not in the gym, she is following Wheaten Terriers and Doodles on Instagram, exploring new microbreweries, and plotting your next workout.  You can also find her on the pitch for the New Haven Women’s Old Black Rugby Football Club.
