One of our CFC athletes, Mark O (who I attended high school with), brought to my attention a fantastic article that appeared in the NY times on November 25th, 2010. This is worth reading from start to finish. If this does not refute the conventional wisdom of the need to slow down as we get older, nothing will. Now there are no excuses for anyone — rigorous exercise (lifting free weight, running, jumping) is the best way of enjoying optimal health at any age. You can’t enjoy your golden years if you die during middle age, and you won’t enjoy your golden years if you are attached to an oxegyn tank or confined to a wheel chair. We have a tremendous say on how we age!
